HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER “False Positive” Review

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER “False Positive” Season 6 Episode 12 – So what did you think of tonight’s episode? Even though I enjoyed it, I felt like it was missing a little something. What about you? Let’s talk about the characters:

Marshall and Lily: Will these two get pregnant already! Ted was right, all Marshall and Lily did was talk about having a baby, so where do they get off saying they want a dog? I did enjoy watching them try to prepare for having a child in just one night. I hope when the real day comes they will be more relaxed.

Barney: I can’t get over the “Oprah’s favorite things” scene – so awesome. The velour jump-suits were my personal favorite. I felt like the diamond suit was over the top even for him, what did you think? I’m glad that he came to his senses (with the help of Ted) and donated the money to charity. Was anybody else fooled at the end with the fake PSA? When he first started talking I thought NPH was out of character to raise awareness for charitable giving lol.

Robin: I know the obvious job choice for her was the Worldwide News job but I can understand why she was conflicted – a coin rotation specialist working under Alex Trebek is a freaking cool job! I’m happy for her that she is on the path to her dream job. She also gave Ted some sound advice about being the best man. When she asked Ted to be her best man I instantly thought that maybe they were at Robin’s wedding in the first episode of the season. Robin and Barney perhaps? What do you think?

Ted: Ted was on fire tonight! It made me sad that he smashed his gingerbread house and then saw It’s a Wonderful Life by himself. Ted is in a good place right now and I think he’s ready for a relationship. If he doesn’t get married in 2011 then I hope he at least get’s in a serious relationship with somebody nice.

Even though I enjoyed the episode very much, I felt like it was missing something. I don’t think it was the show’s fault, which is the funny thing. They have set the bar so high for themselves with episodes like “Slapsgiving” that I think it must be extremely hard to top some of the classics. Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of tonight’s episode of How I Met Your Mother.
