Ricky Gervais: Out of England (HBO)

Ricky Gervais is returning to HBO for his second American TV stand-up special with RICKY GERVAIS: OUT OF ENGLAND 2-THE STAND-UP SPECIAL. This showcase of his signature humor and high-spirited, offbeat observations premieres on HBO Saturday, December 18 at 10:00pm eastern/9 central.

Taped before a live audience at the Chicago Theatre in October, the special includes Gervais’ unique, and often politically incorrect, insights on a variety of issues, including: acts of God, the recession, heroin, famine in Africa, animal homosexuality and Noah’s Ark.

Gervais’ other HBO projects include the series The Ricky Gervais Show and Extras, which brought him an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and the Emmy-nominated 2008 special Ricky Gervais: Out of England-The Stand-Up Special. He is also a co-creator of the Golden Globe, Emmy and BAFTA award winning series The Office, which is shown in more than 100 countries and has been remade in seven.

Ricky Gervais: Out of England 2-The Stand-up Special is written and executive produced by Ricky Gervais. Pat Tourk Lee and John Moffitt produced and John Moffitt directed.
