HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER “Subway Wars” Review

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER “Subway Wars” Season 6 Episode 4 – What did you think of tonight’s episode of How I Met Your Mother? I’m placing it on my short list of best all time episodes. I thought it was cool how we got to dive into each character while at the same time follow a competition with the group…oh and the Maury Povich sightings were pretty awesome as well. Did anyone else actually think they were going to throw Woody Allen in the last scene? I did. Let’s talk a little bit about each character.

Barney – First of all, I give him props for having the most creative plan: go to a nice restaurant, pretend to be dying, get a ride in an ambulance, and when that doesn’t work have your driver take you. I thought he was a jerk for blowing Robin off when she needed some career advice but he more than made up for it at the end when he let her win the race. Do you think he might still have feelings for her?

Robin – I loved how they work in her stealing a cab from a stranger, crying on the subway and not caring who sees, and killing a cockroach with her bare hands. The new guy she met at the bar was really cute – do you think that will turn into anything? Do you think Becky might force Robin into leaving her job or will they duke it out? I’m interested in seeing where that goes.

Marshall – Marshall used my favorite mode of transportation. I would totally try to beat everyone by running there. Now that Marshall and Lily are done blaming themselves I bet they’ll get pregnant. I was hoping they’d have a baby this season but the way they are dragging it out it might not be to season 7 now. What do you think?

Ted – I felt sort of ‘meh’ about Ted this episode. What did you think? His problem was the silliest of the group by far and I was glad when Marshall gave him some perspective. My favorite Ted moment of tonight was when he knocked over the calculator guy with Marshall.

Lily – I loved watching Lily getting competitive, she is so hysterical. Her uncanny ability to understand conductor speak was also very impressive – although it didn’t help her out too much. My favorite Lily moment from tonight is when she had a heart to heart with Robin on the subway only to turn around and try to sell her out to win the race.

Lastly, did anyone have a favorite Maury moment from tonight? He kept popping up at the oddest moments, it was great. Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of tonight’s episode of How I Met Your Mother, “Subway Wars”!
