ABC’s BODY OF PROOF Moved to Midseason

ABC has decided to hold the Dana Delaney starring medical examiner drama Body of Proof until midseason.

But not to worry–according to TV Guide, this is good news for the show. ABC hopes to find a better timeslot for Body of Proof than the Friday night at 9pm slot they had originally planned. As we’ve seen recently, it can be difficult for shows to find an audience on Friday nights. NBC has already stopped production on their Friday show Outlaw due to low ratings. CBS’s Blue Bloods, starring Tom Selleck, currently draws the most viewers on Friday nights.

ABC will probably wait and see how the fall lineup shakes out before they make an announcement on the new timeslot for Body of Proof. They’ve already canceled My Generation and the legal drama The Whole Truth is struggling at Wednesdays at 10pm.

Body of Proof stars Dana Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, a brilliant neurosurgeon who becomes a medical examiner after a devastating car crash. As she rebuilds her career, she also has to work on her relationships with the living. Jeri Ryan also stars.

Is anybody looking forward to Body of Proof? Where would you like to see it end up?
