THE BIG BANG THEORY “The Robotic Manipulation” Advance Review

THE BIG BANG THEORY returns this Thursday September 23rd 2010, at 8:00 PM on CBS for it’s fourth season. Remember that this is a new night for the show so make sure you don’t forget to tune in!

Personally, I LOVED the way season 3 ended with Sheldon meeting the female version of himself after this friends created a profile for him on an online dating site. Season 4 of The Big Bang Theory begins 4 months later. In the first episode, “The Robotic Manipulation” Sheldon has his first date with Amy Farrah Fowler (played by the awesome Mayim Bialik). Since he doesn’t drive a car, Penny goes along as the 3rd wheel and driver. Back at the apartment, the boys test out a robotic arm and Wolowitz needs help when it malfunctions at the worst possible time.

Although I enjoyed “The Robotic Manipulation” very much I feel like it was one of the weaker episodes of The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon has some funny moments but overall I found his interaction with Amy somewhat boring. Also Leonard had a very small role in the episode which I didn’t like. After last season I was really excited about the prospect of Sheldon meeting his soul mate and having a romantic relationship with someone because that would be awesomely out of character for him. However given this first episode, I’m not sure if he’s capable of it.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion and I’m sure the season will gain steam as we get deeper into it. After you get the chance to watch “The Robotic Manipulation” please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so I’m looking forward to discussing this episode with people after it airs.

Don’t forget to watch The Big Bang Theory this Thursday September 23rd at 8:00 pm on CBS!
