ONE TREE HILL Brings Back Theme Song

One Tree Hill Theme

ONE TREE HILL is bringing back its theme song in a very big way this season. Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want to Be” hasn’t opened the show in three seasons, but it returns with tonight’s season eight premiere.

The song will sound more than a little different, though. In an innovative twist, the show will feature a different performer covering the hit song throughout the season, each using a unique style. Featured artists include Aimee Mann, Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, Tegan & Sara, Matthew Ryan, Laura Izibor and OTH’s own Mia, a.k.a Kate Voegele.

One Tree Hill returns for season eight tonight, September 14, at 8pm/7 central on the CW. You can find all the fall premiere dates and times here.
