Gloria Reuben Heads Back to LAW AND ORDER: SVU

Gloria Reuben

Gloria Reuben will return to LAW AND ORDER: SVU in the fourth episode of the upcoming season, TV Guide reports. Reprising he role as U. S. Attorney Christine Danielson, she will deputize Detectives Benson and Stabler (Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni) as marshals so they can assist her in a child slavery case outside of Manhattan.

That fourth episode must be a doozy because SVU is also losing a character-sort of. The squad room is apparently destroyed “when all hell breaks loose” and the fifth episode will debut a brand new set. An off-screen change necessitated this: SVU had shot in New Jersey, but when tax breaks were cut off, production moved to New York City and new sets were built.

Reuben is the second returning guest star announced so far. As previously reported, Marcia Gay Harden will return to SVU for the third time, reprising her role as federal agent Dana Lewis.

The twelfth season of Law and Order: SVU will premiere on September 22 at 9/8 central on NBC. You can find all of the fall premiere dates and times here.
