FX Renews LOUIE and Orders Star Trek Spoof August 5, 2010 Louie, News Just five weeks into the initial run of Louis C.K.’s comedy, LOUIE, FX has ordered a second thirteen episode season to air next summer. The current season wraps up September 7. FX President and General Manager John Landgraf said in a press release, “Louis has made a truly original series – a comedy unlike anything on television, but perfect for his unique voice.” Louie currently draws about one million first-run viewers, which is respectable given its 11pm time slot. FX additionally announced it has picked up a new comedy from Reno 911 veterans Tom Lennon and Ben Garant called Alabama. It will be a part-scripted, part-improvised comedy set 1,000 years in the future about the crew of the USS Alabama, a space ship on a seven year mission to maintain intergalactic peace. According to FX, “The show will follow the heart-pounding action as our crew visits hostile planets, meets alien life-forms, and tries to have sex with each other in their tiny, metal bunk beds.” (Source: Hollywood Reporter) Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)
