Liam Neeson To Guest Star On Showtime’s THE BIG C July 27, 2010 News, The Big C Actor Liam Neeson will guest star in one episode of Showtime’s new original comedy series THE BIG C, which premieres August 16th at 10:30 pm PT/ET. Neeson will play “Bee Man,” an eccentric character who Cathy (Linney) consults for a possible treatment for her terminal cancer. THE BIG C stars multiple award-winner Laura Linney as Cathy, a repressed suburban Minneapolis teacher, wife and mother who reclaims her life after a terminal cancer diagnosis. Oliver Platt (2012) stars as her immature, but well-meaning husband. Oscar® nominee Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) plays a smart-alecky student in Cathy’s class. Recently announced co-stars include Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) and Brian Cox (Troy). THE BIG C is created and written by Darlene Hunt, who serves as executive producer, along with Showrunner Jenny Bicks, Linney, Neal H. Moritz and Vivian Cannon. It is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Acclaimed writer/director/producer Bill Condon (Breaking Dawn, Kinsey) directed the pilot. Neeson is best known for his roles in films such as Schindler’s List, Michael Collins, Rob Roy, and most recently The A-Team remake.
