THE BRIDGE “Cancelled” on CBS

The Bridge

The Canadian cop drama “The Bridge” has been pulled from the air by CBS after just three episodes. Representatives from E1 Entertainment provided comments on the details behind the decision.

CBS reportedly pulled the show, which is shot in Toronto, from its summer schedule for reasons based on fall scheduling. The series was showing on Saturday nights on CBS but will be replaced by reruns of “Cold Case.” According to co-producer Craig Bromell CBS did not say they were cancelling the show, merely that they were pulling the show from the air.

The series originally aired on CTV before CBS purchased the rights to the show. CBS has paid in full for the full first season, which includes 13 episodes. CTV has ordered a second season of the show despite CBS’ decision to back away from the series.
