SOUTHLAND’s Emily Bergl Could Join “Desperate Housewives”

Emily Bergl

Actress Emily Bergl is in negotiations to join the cast of ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.” Bergl would join the cast in a recurring role during season seven if both sides can come to an agreement.

Bergl will play the role of Beth who is married to Mark Moses’ character Paul. Beth is described as a “fragile soul” who married Paul while he was still incarcerated. Her character arrives on Wisteria Lane with a juicy secret in hand to start off season seven. Bergl, assuming she joins the cast, would be the latest addition to the cast of “Desperate Housewives.” Vanessa Williams and Brian Austin Green have also signed on to join the cast for the upcoming seventh season.

Bergl stars on “Men in Trees” as Annie O’Donnell and can also be seen on the TNT series “Southland,” in which she plays the aspiring photographer of a Los Angeles police detective, played by Shawn Hatosy.
