TRUE BLOOD Comic Con 2010 Panel (With Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and lots more)

true Blood Comic Con Panel

The TRUE BLOOD Comic Con 2010 Panel was packed and I mean packed! It featured creator Alan Ball, Joe Manganiello, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Deborah Ann Woll, Nelsan Ellis, Dennis O’Hare, Sam Trammell, Rutina Welsey, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and author Charlaine Harris. Alexander Skarsgard was unable to make it because he’s filming a movie, but they put a cardboard of him on the stage (did someone see the Megamind panel on Thursday?). Ryan Kwanten was also absent because he’s filming a movie as well. Oh and no James Frain (snif).

We got a sneak peek at what’s coming in the second half of the season of True Blood, which you can also watch below. It looks freaking awesome. And then it was time for the panel. So here are some highlights from the True Blood Comic Con 2010 panel, as well as some photos:

– We’re going to find out what Sookie’s “microwave fingers” really are.

– Anna Paquin once again made her Bill impression “Sookie.” Pretty awesome

– Stephen Moyer explained how they shot the “twisted” sex scene. We’re going to have some videos for that, so stay tuned.

– Charlaine Harris’ is looking forward to meeting Sookie’s great grandfather in the show.

– “You’re gonna love this week’s episode” -Joe Manganiello talking about him having to be naked if you’re going to star on True Blood.

– Joe Manganiello is part of what he calls “Brotherhood of the Sock” [hint: you don’t put them on your feet. Wink, wink.]

– Teaser of what’s coming: There is a character who doesn’t really know who he is and becomes a different person that we expected. Someone who didn’t like him before might start liking him.

– “Skarsgard is not so bad once you get to know him.” -Kristin Bauer van Straten in response to how they deal with working with animals. Ha!

– Witches are coming up this season.

– “He does really care in his own way. Unfortunately he’s a psychopath.” -Alan Ball talking about Franklin.

– Alan Ball does believe Bill and Sookie are soulmates. The Bill and Sookie of the show are different from the ones in the book. “I do believe that their love in genuine.” -Alan Ball about Bill and Sookie’s love.

– “I would love to see the show run as long as it possibly can. I don’t want to get to the point where we have to explain why vampires are aging.” -Alan Ball

– Joe Manganiello is now officially a series regular.

– Sookie gets to kick someone’s ass this season. “Full on, fully choreographed, dirty, dirty fight.” -Anna Paquin

– The audience screamed Bruce Campbell’s name as an actor who could portray Bubba in the show. Although Alan Ball stated that he doesn’t think putting him in the show would be a great idea.
