CHAOS Resurrected by CBS for Midseason Run July 22, 2010 CBS, News CBS has officially picked up CHAOS, a drama about “a group of rogue CIA operatives who combat bureaucratic gridlock, rampant incompetence and political infighting” for thirteen episodes to air at midseason. Brett Ratner (Prison Break) directed the pilot from Tom Spezialy’s (Desperate Housewives) script. Both men will executive produce along with Rat Televisions Martha Haight. Chaos was presumed dead when negotiations between CBS and 20th Century Fox Television fell apart after five weeks and the actors’ options expired on June 30, but the last few days saw a flurry of activity that brought the show and the actors’ deals back to life. Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under), Eric Close (Without a Trace), Carmen Ejogo (Kidnapped), Tim Blake Nelson, and James Murray will reprise their roles from the pilot. Per a prior decision from the network and production company, Stephen Rea’s role will be recast. Chaos joins Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior on CBS’s midseason line-up.
