Taraji Henson Cast in Lifetime Movie “Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story” July 15, 2010 Lifetime, News Actress Taraji P. Henson has been cast to star in the upcoming Lifetime movie “Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story.” The movie is based upon the true story of Tiffany Rubin who took her son back from her estranged husband half a world away. The film will tell the story of Rubin’s bold mission in 2008 to rescue her son and bring him back to New York City. Rubin’s son Kobe had been visiting his father’s apartment in 2007 when the father, a South Korean native, ran off to South Korea with the boy. Kobe had been the focus of a custody dispute between the two, but now he was half a world away and Rubin, a public school teacher in Queens, had no money to fight back. She eventually turned to the non-profit organization The American Association for Lost Children for help. Along with the group’s founder, Mark Miller, Rubin went to Seoul and eventually snatched her son back and returned with him to the U.S. Henson is no stranger to Lifetime where she starred in the drama “The Division” in 2003 and 2004.
