CELEBRITY GHOST STORIES (BIO) Season 2 Premiere Early Review

Celebrity Ghost Stories (BIO Channel)

CELEBRITY GHOST STORIES returns on Saturday July 17th at 9 PM ET/10PM PT for its second season on the BIO Channel. The new season will contain 18 one-hour episodes and feature such celebrities as: Marilyn Manson, Billy Baldwin, Joan Collins, Alice Cooper, Haylie Duff, Corey Feldman, Deborah Gibson, Tracey Gold, and many more.

I got the chance to check out the season premiere recently so I can tell you a little bit about it. For those of you not familiar with the show, Celebrity Ghost Stories features celebrities sharing their real-life encounters with the super natural. The interviews are accompanied by reenactments of the situations. The premiere features stories from Michael Imperioli, Joan Collins, and Donna D’Errico. Michael’s story is about a ghost he encountered while living at the Chelsea Hotel. Joan Collins relates an incident that happened to her while attending a dinner party in Venice, Itlay, and last Donna D’Errico tells a chilling tale of a prolonged experience she had as a young girl.

The reason why I like this show is because it’s fun. The reenactments are entertaining and the fact that they are narrated by celebrities make them even better. Ghost shows are popular at the moment, and I watch and love pretty much all of them. While some shows focus on authenticating the experiences, Celebrity Ghost Stories is pure entertainment. This is also one of the things I find annoying about the show at times. Some of the stories are a little far fetched even for me and I sometimes questions the motives of the celebrities they feature. Michael Imperioli’s story was the only one that seemed completely believable from the first episode. The stories from Joan Collins and Donna D’Errico were interesting and even a little creepy, but I had a difficult time believing they were true.

Nevertheless, Celebrity Ghost Stories is a great program and I will continue to tune in to season 2! Don’t forget to check it out Saturday July 17th at 9 PM/10 PM PT.
