Brian Benben Now A Series Regular On PRIVATE PRACTICE

Brian Benben

Actor Brian Benben, who plays the role of psychiatrist Dr. Sheldon Wallace on ABC’s PRIVATE PRACTICE, was upgraded by creator Shonda Rhimes to a full time series regular. Benben joined the cast of Private Practice during season 2 as Dr. Sheldon Wallace and has made regular appearances since then.

Sheldon is the resident psychiatrist at Oceanside’s in-house rival, Pacific Wellcare. At one point he was romantically involved with fellow psychiatrist Violet (Amy Brenneman) and was even a father-candidate when she became pregnant with Lucas. More recently on the show Sheldon has been in an on again, off again relationship with Charlotte (KaDee Strickland). Sheldon has also had to battle with Cooper for Charlotte’s affection.

Benben will become a full time series regular when Private Practice returns this fall for its fourth season. Benben has previously starred on the HBO series Dream On and in the film Radioland Murders. He even had his own TV show at one point in 1998, entitled The Brian Benben Show.
