STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE (Syfy) Early Review

Misha Collins in Stonehenge Apocalypse (Syfy)

The Syfy channel is debuting a new original movie, STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE this Saturday June 12th at 9/8c. I had the chance to check it out early and I have to say that it’s quite good. It stars, Misha Collins (Supernatural), Hill Harper (CSI New York), Torri Higginson (Stargate: Atlantis), and Peter Wingfield (Hobly City).

Let me tell you a little bit about the plot, I won’t give away any spoilers I promise. Misha Collins plays Jacob, an ex-scientist that hosts a late-night radio station to talk about science and conspiracy theories. He’s sort of been exiled from the respected scientific community. Jacob has been tracking some unusual electromagnetic activity around the world when a surge is recorded in Stonehenge. He quickly travels to England to check it out for himself. Meanwhile, his friend and fellow scientist “Leshem” (played by Hill Harper) has discovered an underground Pyramid in Maine that may be tied into the strange electromagnetic anomalies.

Things starts to heat up when Stonehenge begins rotating in recurring intervals. Each time it happens, it sets of a chain of events. Jacob meets up with a group of government officials and scientists to figure out what it all means.

Although this production obviously had a modest budget, it managed to be better than some films with 10 times the financing. The story isn’t believable by a long shot, but it’s interesting, the characters are good, and Misha Collins is nice to look at. I recommend Stonehenge Apocalypse to anyone who likes a good end-of-the-world type action movie.

Don’t forget to check out Stonehenge Apocalypse this Saturday June 12th at 9/8c on Syfy!

Here are a few quotes from Stonehenge Apocalypse:

“What once created life on this planet…is about to wipe it out”
