REVIEW: GOSSIP GIRL Season 3 Episode 19 “Dr. Estrangeloved”

What did you think of tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl, “Dr. Estrageloved”?

They had me at Billy Baldwin. He is the ideal person to cast as somebody you want to trust but you know deep down is a little evil. Come to think of it, that is an accurate description of most of the Gossip Girl cast (with the exception of maybe Derota and Blair’s step dad). So, we finally find out why Lily has been sneaking around, and how Serena’s dad played into it. I must say, I didn’t see this one coming!

Lily is just like her daughter. When things turn south, and you’d expect them to turn to those closet to them, they instead confide in somebody completely unexpected. So, the question remains, is Lily’s excuse good enough? Obviously, Rufus is still in shock over her having cancer, but once this blows over, isn’t he going to be more hurt? It’s hard to love somebody in sickness and in health when they don’t freaking tell you they are sick! Also, what’s this Shady treatment she is receiving from William? Methinks a second opinion is in order…

I was happy to see Blair back to her old ways and a little sad to see her show some emotion at the end. I feel like Blair is a bit more mature post break-up and Chuck is slowing turning back into his old evil self. I wasn’t surprised about the girls and the drinking but I was upset that Chuck was trying to sabotage Nate and Serena’s relationship. What a Basshole! I want old Chuck back! Jenny finally got caught up in her lies (again!). I was so happy when Nate ordered her out of his place. Do you think she is finally done playing games?

I thought the fight between Vanessa and Dan was super lame and blown out of proportion. Even so, I’m hoping they breakup as I have been bored with their relationship all season. What do you think? Anyway, I give Dr. Estrageloved two thumbs up, it was awesome to finally get some answers. Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl!
