LOST “The Last Recruit” Review

What did you think of tonight’s episode of LOST, “The Last Recruit”? Another week with not too many answers. One useful thing we did get confirmed is that Smokey was the one pretending to be Jack and Claire’s dad on the island. We all know that Evil Locke is pretty darn…well…evil, but he has seemed to have taken a protective role to Jack. I liked Eric’s theory last week that Locke will meet Jack in the hospital and get his legs back. Although this hasn’t happen yet, the pieces certainly seem to be coming together for this to become a reality. What I wasn’t expecting was for Sun to be taken to the hospital at the same time as Locke, that was a cool twist.

Hurley had an interesting theory about people coming back from the dark side? Do you think this is possible or are Claire and Sayid too far gone? We never saw if Sayid actually killed Desmond. I don’t think he ended up going through with it. I’m really enjoying this new Jacob-like role that the alternative reality Desmond has taken up in bringing the island people together. Now that Claire has met her brother and inherited some money, I’m sure she will probably decide to have Aaron. All that needs to happen now for her to meet up with Charlie.

Now that Widmore’s gone back on his deal with Sawyer, what do you think is in store for the group? Also, what will become of Jack? Do you think Evil Locke will turn him like he did to Claire and Sayid? With only 4 more episodes to go, I am frustrated that we didn’t get more answers, and my guess is they will save most everything for the finale.

Although this wasn’t an “answer” friendly episode, I still enjoyed “The Last Recruit.” Here were my favorite moments:

Sun reuniting with Jin, and Sun getting her voice back.
Saywer questioning Kate at the police station.
Sawyer about Lapidus “…and that pilot that looks like he stepped off the set of a Burt Reynolds movie.”

Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought about tonight’s episode of Lost, “The Last Recruit”!
