13 Nights of Halloween 2009 Ratings November 6, 2009 ABC [Press Release – Released by ABC] Driven by high-performing theatricals “Hocus Pocus,” “Edward Scissorhands” and “Goonies,” ABC Family’s 11th annual “13 Nights of Halloween” scared up event-best deliveries in Total Viewers (1.4 million), Adults 18-34 (372,000), Women 18-34 (225,000), Adults 18-49 (665,000), Women 18-49 (397,000), Viewers 12-34 (602,000) and Females 12-34 (368,000). · With “13 Nights of Halloween,” ABC Family stood as ad-supported cable’s No. 1 network in the daypart in core Females 12-34, and placed among cable’s Top 5 networks in Women 18-34 (No. 4), Women 18-49 (No. 5), Teens 12-17 (No. 4 – 231,000) and Female Teens (No. 3 – 143,000). · The Saturday, October 24th showing of “Hocus Pocus” (6:00 – 8:00 p. m.) bewitched the stunt’s largest audience in several target measures, including Total Viewers (2.5 million), Adults 18-34 (791,000/1.2 rating), Women 18-34 (555,000/1.6 rating), Adults 18-49 (1.3 million/1.0 rating), Women 18-49 (894,000/1.4 rating), Viewers 12-34 (1.0 million/1.1 rating – tie) and Females 12-34 (736,000/1.6 rating). o Impressively, the October 24th showing of “Hocus Pocus” was October 09’s No. 2 movie on all basic cable in Women 18-34. · Among ABC Family’s younger demo set, the network premiere of “Edward Scissorhands” qualified as the stunt’s most-watched telecast in Teens 12-17 (514,000/2.1 rating), Female Teens (309,000/2.6 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (1.0 million/1.1 rating – tie) · Versus last year’s event, “13 Nights of Halloween 2009” grew by impressive double-digit percentages, including by 17% in Total Viewers (1.4 million vs. 1.2 million), by 19% in Adults 18-34 (372,000 vs. 313,000), by 22% in Adults 18-49 (665,000 vs. 545,000) and by 20% in Viewers 12-34 (602,000 vs. 503,000).
