SUPERNATURAL “Good God, Y’all” Review (Season 5 Episode 2)

Let’s talk about tonight’s episode of SUPERNATURAL, “Good God, Y’all.”

The first thing I want to mention is that there was no Lucifer in the episode, dammit! That means we have to wait another week to meet him as Mark Pellegrino. Now they’re going to have to really bring it in order for me to be satisfied. But enough of that.

This week’s episode “Good God, Y’all” was pretty good, even without Lucifer.

First of all, Castiel now uses a cell phone to reach Sam and Dean, which is pretty hilarious.

But that’s not all. We also got to meet one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, War. Oh and what is his mode of transportation? A red mustang! I love it! And you gotta admit that his strategy was pretty smart: Make everyone turn on themselves so they do the dirty job for you. Except that he didn’t count on Sam and Dean figuring it all out and defeating him. Speaking of which, can War even be defeated? Obviously it doesn’t seem to be the case since War disappeared in the end. So I wonder if we’ll get to see him again later on in the season. That could be fun.

Seeing Ellen and Jo back was pretty nice, it brought back some memories. I hope we’ll see more of them this season. Maybe they can team up with one of the Winchester brothers.

Speaking of whom, the Winchester brothers decided to go their own separate ways tonight. And to be honest I didn’t expect it. I thought that there was going to be some conflicts between the two, but I never thought they wouldn’t be a team anymore.

Of course we all know that they are bound to get together again, but in the meantime it’s going to be sad seeing them apart. It just doesn’t feel right. On the positive side, this could lead to some great moments this season.

Either way, I’m open to whatever the writers decide to throw at us. So far they haven’t disappointed me, and I am as always looking forward to next week’s episode.

So what did you guys think of tonight’s episode of Supernatural? Do you think the brothers are going to be apart for long? Are you as excited as I am to meet Lucifer? Check out a first look of Lucifer here.
