Syfy’s ALICE First Pictures August 7, 2009 News, Syfy Take a first look at some pictures from Syfy’s ALICE, a re-imagining of Lewis Carroll books “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking-Glass.” Alice is the modern-day story of Alice Hamilton (Caterina Scorsone), a fiercely independent twenty-something who suddenly finds herself on the other side of a looking glass. She is a stranger in an outlandish city of twisted towers and casinos built out of playing cards, all under the rule of the deliciously devilish Queen of Hearts (Oscar winner Kathy Bates) who’s not very happy about Alice’s arrival. The amazing cast includes Caterina Scorsone as Alice; Kathy Bates as the Queen of Hearts; Philip Winchester (‘Crusoe’) as Jack Chase, Alice’s new love; Allan Gray as White Rabbit; Colm Meaney (Layer Cake, The Damned United) as the King of Hearts; Andrew Lee Potts (‘Primeval’) as Hatter, Tim Curry (Clue) as Dodo; Matt Frewer (‘Eureka’) as the White Knight; Harry Dean Stanton (The Straight Story, Alpha Dog) as Caterpillar; Alessandro Juliani (‘Battlestar Galactica’) as 9 of Clubs; Timothy Webber (‘Men in Trees’) as Carpenter; Alex Diakun as Ratcatcher; and Eugene Lipinski as Doctors Dee and Dum. After Syfy’s really great Tin Man, which was a modern take on “The Wizard of Oz,” I am really looking forward to Alice. The great cast alone is something to be excited about. And so far the pictures look really great. Alice will premiere in December 2009 on Syfy. Check out a few additional pictures from Alice below.
