AMERICAN IDOL “Top 4 Performs” Review May 5, 2009 American Idol, Reviews Tonight on AMERICAN IDOL Season 8, it was all about rock. The final 4 were mentored by Slash and I gotta say they all did pretty good. Adam Lambert Song: “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin Thoughts: I didn’t know the song (not a Led Zeppelin fan), but Adam can do no wrong in my eyes and he has such great stage presence, it was a great performance and it felt so seamless. Rating: 4/4 ______________________________________________ Allison Iraheta Song: “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin Thoughts: I think Allison did really good, I really loved her performance. Rating: 4/4 ______________________________________________ Kris Allen & Danny Gokey Song: “Renegade” by Styx Thoughts: I actually kind of liked the duo. It was fun and I think they sounded good together. Rating: 3/4 ______________________________________________ Kris Allen Song: “Come Together” by The Beatles Thoughts: I love that song and Kris Allen did so good. Rating: 3/4 ______________________________________________ Danny Gokey Song: “Dream On” by Aerosmith Thoughts: I guess not everyone can be Adam. Wow, that ending screech was just terrible, why wouldn’t anyone tell him how bad that was. Rating: 2/4 ______________________________________________ Allison Iraheta & Adam Lambert Song: “Slow Ride” by Foghat Thoughts: How sad is it that this song made me think of guitar hero… apart from that I really loved it! It was such a great duo. Go Adam and Allison!
