AMERICAN IDOL “Top 5 Performs” Review April 28, 2009 American Idol, Reviews Tonight on AMERICAN IDOL Season 8, the final 5 contestants sang songs inspired by the rat pack guided by Jamie Foxx. Let’s find out how they did: Kris Allen Song: “The Way You Look Tonight” by The Lettermen Thoughts: I like Kris, he is in my top 2, but I have to say that tonight was one of my least favorite performance of his. I have to agree with Simon on that one. Rating: 3/4 __________________________________________________ Allison Iraheta Song: “Someone to Watch Over Me” Thoughts: I know the judges thought she was amazing and even though I usually like her, it was a little boring for me. Rating: 2/4 __________________________________________________ Matt Giraud Song: “My Funny Valentine” Thoughts: Matt did ok, but once again I wasn’t blown away by it, but it was a good performance. Rating: 3/4 __________________________________________________ Danny Gokey Song: “I’m Gonna Love You Like Nobody Loves You” Thoughts: Wow, I actually thought Danny did really good for once, even better than the first three. Probably my favorite performance of his. Rating: 4/4 __________________________________________________ Adam Lambert Song: “Feeling Good” Thoughts: Adam Lambert is the Tiger Woods of American Idol. Seriously, I am running out of things to say about him. He is so brilliant I still don’t understand why he wasn’t discovered before this. Every week he raises the bar. Rating: 5/4 __________________________________________________ So who’s going home tomorrow? My bet is that it’s either going to be Allison or Matt.
