BONES “Double Trouble in the Panhandle / Fire in the Ice” Review

Tonight was a rare treat with two back to back episodes of Bones “Double Trouble in the Panhandle” and “Fire in the Ice”. Here is what I took away from each of them.

“Double Trouble in the Panhandle”

This was a wickedly Bones fun episode. Brennan seemed to have an especially good time doing the circus act. The investigation was slightly interesting but not exceptionally interesting. I enjoyed the return of Ryan Cartwright as Vincent Nigel-Murray with his quirky little tidbits. It’s funny on TV but not so much in real life.

Oh and for those who are interested, the song at the end of the episode is No Envy No Fear from Joshua Radin.

“Fire in the Ice”

This Bones episode was much more interesting. First, Booth whoops some butt on the ice and then goes on to play the coolest murder suspect in the world, except when Sweets confronted him with his father issues. Now you guys know that I am a Sweets fan but I thought that the character was quite annoying in this episode. Jeez, always harping about Booth’s dad was kind of inappropriate.

All and all, this was a great start for 2009 for Bones. Too bad we have to wait two more weeks for the next episode.
