DVD Review: THE 4400 – The Complete Series

The 4400 The Complete Series DVD

The Complete series of THE 4400 has been released on DVD, and that means that Paramount Home Video made at least one person very happy, aka me.

To this day, I am still upset that The 4400 was cancelled, I thought the end came way too soon. After four seasons, only the surface of this great show had been scratched, but what is done is done.

Getting to watch The 4400 from the beginning was so great and it reminded me why I loved it so much. If you haven’t checked out this show yet, you must! The 4400 tells the story of thousands of people (4400 to be exact!), who had gone missing over the years, suddenly reappearing. While they reappear looking exactly the same as the day they vanished, the 4400 come back with abilities. Sound familiar? Ordinary people who get abilities, makes you think of Heroes, right? Well, let me just make this clear, The 4400 is way better than Heroes and tells a totally different story.

From the pilot to the last episode, The 4400 takes you on an adventure that you don’t want to end. This is definitely a great DVD to add to your collection.

Some of the cast over the seasons include Jacqueline McKenzie, Joel Gretsch, Patrick Flueger, Conchita Campbell, Chad Faust, Richard Kahan, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Bill Campbell, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Samantha Ferris, Kavan Smith, Laura Allen.

And of course the Bonus Features include:

Video Introduction by Series Creator Scott Peters

Pilot Episode – Audio Commentary (by Scott Peters & Joel Gretch)

The Great Leap Forward – Audio Commentary (by Ira Baer & Craig Sweenny)

The 4400: The Ghost Season

Promicin: The Moral Choice

Deleted Scenes (with optional commentary) Seasons 2 & 3

Synopsis: Over the last century, thousands of people have gone missing. Suddenly and inexplicably, 4400 missing people are returned, all at once, exactly as they were on the day they vanished. Unclear what this world-altering event means, the government investigates the 4400 to piece together where they’ve been and why they’ve been returned. It quickly becomes apparent that their presence will change the human race in ways no one could have foreseen.
