DVD Review: FAMILY GUY Volume Six

Family Guy Volume 6 DVD

FAMILY GUY Volume Six has been released on Tuesday and I was able to take a look at all the goodies that you can find on the DVD.

The first and most important thing I have to mention is the 100th episode, “Stewie Kills Lois.” We have all been waiting for that one. Come on admit it! Ever since the first episode I was wondering when Stewie would finally succeed (or did he?). Let’s not forget the following episode, “Lois Kills Stewie.”

There are a total of 12 Family Guy episodes, each one more outrageous than the previous one. Just when I think they can’t get any more outrageous, they shock me one more time.

Some of the best episodes include “Meet the Quagmires” in which Peter travels back in time, which leads to Lois marrying Quagmire instead of him. Imagine Stewie, Chris, and Meg with Quagmire’s head shape,; “Padre de Familia,” “Peter’s Daughter,” and so much more.

Some of the guest appearances include Drew Barrymore, Neil Patrick Harris, Adam Carolla, William Dafoe, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul.

But that’s not all. You can also find tons of special features, including 49 deleted scenes and behind-the scenes videos.

My favorite feature to watch was “Family Guy Live! – “Just For Laughs,” where you see the cast actually perform one of the episodes live. So much fun.

The “Family Guy 100th Episode Special” and “The Making of the 100th Episode Featurette” are also worth checking out for an inside look at the making of Family Guy.

I’m more of a renter of TV on DVD, but I make it a point to buy all the Family Guy DVDs when they come out. Why you ask? Well, because it’s one of the few shows that I can actually watch over and over again.

Definitely a great buy, and if you haven’t seen any of the episodes yet, you are in for a treat.
