CALIFORNICATION “Slip of the Tongue” Literally (Season 2 Episode 1) Early Review September 26, 2008 Californication, Reviews Season 2 of Showtime’s original series, CALIFORNICATION, premieres on Sunday, September 28, at 10pm, with a whole new episode, “Slip of the Tongue.” While I hadn’t actually seen the first season, the first episode from season 2 did provide a quick recap. From what I could tell, season 2 starts not too long after last season’s finale. Hank and Karen are still together and as part of their reconciliation, Hank gets a vasectomy, which as you can guess leads to some pretty funny moments. Overall, I enjoyed the episode, it was pretty funny and I seemed to be able to catch on as to what was happening pretty fast. It did seem that there were a few familiar faces back, who I’m sure fans will recognize. I think that the show continues what it started in season one, and fans will be pleased to see Hank and his hard-breaking habits back. I have to end by mentioning the title for the episode, “Slip of the Tongue.” While you might only think of it in the figurative sense at the moment, you will never think of it the same way after you watch the episode. Let’s just say it holds quite a literal sense now. Don’t miss Californication‘s second season premiere September 28 at 10pm on Showtime.
