Early Review SUPERNATURAL: Welcome Back Dean Winchester, We Have Work for You…

Supernatural - Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki

SUPERNATURAL finally returns for its fourth season this Thursday, September 18, at 9pm on The CW, and since we were able to take a look at the premiere episode, “Lazarus Rising,” we thought it was only fair to share our excitement for the return of the Winchester brothers.

There is just something about Supernatural, I can’t explain what it is, that just makes me feel like I’m 15 again. For instance, when I got the screener for the Season 4 premiere I was jumping up and down…literally (I know, it’s pathetic). With that said, after watching the season premiere, it turns out my jumping up and down might have been justified after all, because the episode, “Lazarus Rising,” was just magnificent.

With the screener that was sent to us, we also received a list of spoilers that we are not allowed to reveal about the episode like the intr… do you hear that? It’s the sound of lawyers at the WB filling out paperwork to sue my a*$!

But you know what, trust me you don’t want to know them before watching the episode. I hadn’t read the list before watching “Lazarus Rising,” because I hate spoilers and I wanted to be surprised. It was the best decision ever, the surprise (and let me tell you it’s big), was so worth it.

Moving on to what I can talk about. As most of you have guessed, Dean is back this season (duh!) but now here is the thing, how did he get out of hell? Well, I am happy to say that you only have to wait one day to find out, because we do find out what happened to him in the first episode. I just want to take a moment to praise the writers for not dragging this along.

The episode revolves mostly around Dean’s reunion with Sam and Bobby and them trying to find out how Dean got out. All of this mixed up with quite a few crazy revelations.

Oh and I have to mention that although Dean has spent 4 months in hell, he did not loose his appetite. You gotta love him for that!

“Lazarus Rising” is by far one of the best episodes from Supernatural. It’s one of those episode that you continue to think about after you finish watching it. I’m still thinking about it now and it’s been 4 days since I watched it, that’s how good it is.

This season is taking on a whole new direction and I love it. You CANNOT miss the season premiere of Supernatural. So remember to tune in on September 18, at 9pm on The CW.

Don’t forget to also check out two preview clips from the episode, as well as pictures, and the spoilers and news we found out about Supernatural during Comic Con.
