Review: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE “Top 4 Performs” August 7, 2008 Reviews, So You Think You Can Dance I cannot believe it’s already the end of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Not only will we not get to watch our favorite dancers on TV every week, but it also means it’s almost the end of summer, and that’s never good. The final four performed and so let’s find out how they did, one last time: Twitch Boss & Courtney Galiano – Hip Hop Choreography: Tabitha & Napoleon Music: “Church” by T-Pain Thoughts: Holy crap, that was awesome. Do I even need to review the performances anymore? I have a feeling tonight is just going to be great. Rating: 4/4 Video: Courtney Galiano Music: “They Weren’t There” by Missy Higgins Video: Katee Shean & Joshua Allen – Contemporary Choreography: Wade Robson Music: “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” by John Mayer Thoughts: The Power Couple is back! And so is Wade Robson. I have nothing bad to say about it, I really loved it. Rating: 4/4 Video: Katee Shean & Courteney Galiano – Broadway Choreography: Tyce DiOrio Music: “The Trolley Song” by Rufus Wainwright Thoughts: Ok so to be honest, I didn’t really like the choreography. I actually found it a little boring. But the two of them were cute. Rating: 2/4 Video: Twitch Boss Music: “It Was All In Your Mind” by Wade Robson Video: Twitch Boss & Joshua Allen – Russian Trepak Choreography: Youri Nelzine Music: “Trepak” by Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite Thoughts: I guess it’s not a good idea to pair up the two girls and two guys because I did not feel this performance either. I was pretty bored and actually the music just made me think of those cutsie ballet performances that you see kids do (seriously don’t they always use this music?) Other than that, I obviously realize the tricks weren’t easy to do and I still love Twitch & Joshua. Rating: 2/4 Video: Katee Shean Music: “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap Video: Katee Shean & Twitch Boss – Fox Trot Choreography: Tony Meredith Music: “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé Thoughts: That was really beautiful. I really liked it. Rating: 4/4 Video: Joshua Allen Music: “(Not Just) Knee Deep” by Funkadelic Video: Courtney Galiano & Joshua Allen – Jive Choreography: Jason Gilkison Music: “The Dirty Boogie” by The Brian Setzer Orchestra Thoughts: I guess it was an ok performance, but I agree with Nigel, they do look tired. Rating: 2/4 Video: Top 4 Group Dance – Contemporary Choreography: Mia Michaels Music: “Hallelujah” by The Vitamin String Quartet Thoughts: I really enjoyed the performance, but I could have done with some different costumes. Rating: 3/4 Video: And so it all comes down to tonight’s elimination round. Who will be crowned the winner? I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s going to be Courtney Galiano. Let’s find out tonight. (Thank you to Tapeworthy for finding all the videos (so I didn’t have to, ha!).)
