Review: STARGATE ATLANTIS (5×01) – “Search and Rescue” Part Two July 6, 2008 Reviews, Stargate Atlantis I just finished watching the screener of the first episode of Season Five of STARGATE ATLANTIS “Search and Rescue – Part Two”. Here is what I thought of the episode: The Good It’s good to see the team back in action. Last season’s finale is somewhat quickly taken care of at the beginning and we move into the nitty-gritty of the “Rescue” part of the episode. Overall, there was decent action and an interesting story line for the episode (except for the end but we will get to that in a little bit) The Bad Rodney is still a whiny little ….OK, I actually like the character but the writers need to grow him a little bit and stop him whining so much. I am sure that even the actor David Hewlett would appreciate some dialogue change. The Ugly Ok, I don’t want to give away the end so I will save my full blown rant for myself. But I just want to say one thing….If you are a fan of Sam Carter, the end will be a huge shocker. When I saw it, I thought to myself: “Really? Are you kidding me?”. Any thoughts from you guys would be welcome because I am at a lack for words. Overall, an interesting episode. Mostly for the last few minutes. Next episode should prove even more compelling.
