AMERICAN IDOL – “1 of 12 Voted Off”

AMERICAN IDOL - Syesha Mercado, David Hernandez, and Kristy Lee Cook

It’s down to the dirty business tonight as the first person gets voted off of season 7 of AMERICAN IDOL. So were my predictions right? Let’s find out.

But first, let me say that they need to stop trying to fill the hour with useless performances of the bottom three, seriously. Before it used to be the person going home who would perform their song once more and we didn’t care then, but now it’s the bottom three! There is a reason they are in the bottom three in the first place, that’s because they didn’t do good, so why would we want to hear the performances again? Just saying.

The highlight of the night was most definitely Katherine McPhee’s performance of “Something,” which leads me to restate how underwhelmed I am about this season of American Idol. There is no one as good as Katherine McPhee was this season, that’s for sure.

On to the elimination part of the show. And your bottom three was:

Kristy Lee Cook, David Hernandez, and Syesha Mercado

I had picked two out of three (I had put Ramiele Malubay instead of Syesha).

AMERICAN IDOL - David Hernandez

So who was sent home? DAVID HERNANDEZ

Unfortunately, I just don’t really care. So far my favorites are safe. Until next week.

Another cool thing of the night that I would like to mention is Jim Carrey’s appearance to promote Horton Hears A Who. So excited to see it this week-end.
