Weekly Review: GOSSIP GIRL, UGLY BETTY, and GREY’S ANATOMY

GOSSIP GIRL - Blake Lively as Serena in “The Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate”

So I sort of have been slacking off with the reviews this week. The truth is I just haven’t had the time. That’s why I decided to do a quick weekly review of the shows I didn’t cover this week.

GOSSIP GIRL “The Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate”

This week was the last episode of Gossip Girl produced before the strike. Was it the best episode ever? No. Did it leave you wanting for more? Most definitely.
This episode made me like Serena so much more than I used to, I absolutely loved the last scene where she goes to stop Blair from leaving, I was so mad it ended like that, I want more.
As for Chuck, turns out he is going back to his mean old self and I am not sure I like him as much as I used to. Dammit, I was really enjoying the Chuck storylines, but if they’re going to make him mean again, then what do I have to be excited about? Alright, I’ll give Chuck another chance to step up, if he doesn’t I might have to move on…

UGLY BETTY “Zero Worship”

I realized that I never have much to say about Ugly Betty, not because I don’t like it, but because they always have sweet episodes. Of course you need to suspend reality when you watch Ugly Betty to fully enjoy it, but that’s why we watch it.
In that spirit, this episode was another cute, typical Ugly Betty episode, where Betty tries to change the world for the better, and that’s why we love her.

GREY’S ANATOMY “Lay Your Hands on Me”

So far this season of Grey’s Anatomy has not lived up to previous seasons for me. I used to want to watch it right away, but now I find myself waiting a few days before watching it, and even then it’s never that exciting. Plus the whole Derek and Meredith story is getting tiring, I am not liking her right now, she is just acting very selfishly and I am glad that Derek finally ended it. In fact, I’m happy he’s already moving on. George and Izzy did not live up to the picture I had of them and the whole George’s mom wanting him to stay in a loveless relationship with Callie because he made a vow just did not work for me at all.
And talk about turning the table around, now I enjoy Lexie and Alex way better than everybody else.
Still Grey’s Anatomy is a good show, it’s just not on my top favorites list anymore.
