Pushing Daisies

PUSHING DAISIES “Pie-lette” – 8pm ABC
Pushing Daisies is finally here! After months of waiting, what is probably the best new show this fall premieres tonight. And if you don’t believe me, look at what other TV bloggers say about Pushing Daisies in our Fall TV Blogger Cheat Sheet. This is an absolute MUST-WATCH and yes, it already has a season pass.
Story: Once upon a time, a mild-mannered boy named Ned realized he could touch dead things and bring them back to life. Grown-up Ned puts his ability to good use, not only touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor, but working with an investigator to crack murder cases by asking the deceased to name their killers. But the tale gets complicated, as all tales do, when Ned brings his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, back from the dead and keeps her alive. Chuck encourages him to use his power to help others, instead of merely solving mysteries and collecting the rewards. Life would be perfect for Ned and Chuck, except for one cruel twist: If he ever touches her again, she’ll go back to being dead, this time for good.

America's Next Top Model

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL “The Girls Go Rock Climbing” – 8pm the CW
A new night with the girls. I always look forward to seeing some cool pictures where I go “wow is it really that girl in the picture?” and of course the elimination is always fun. I wonder who will get eliminated tonight… it’s too early in the season for me to know any of the names yet.

Five Days

FIVE DAYS “Day 1” – 8pm HBO
This five-week miniseries starts its “Day 1” tonight. I just got interested in this miniseries after seeing a promo for it on HBO. It looks like an interesting story and I am always ready to start watching new shows, especially if I know they are going to end. Which is why I love miniseries. Another reason I want to watch Five Days, is because I really like one of the actors, David Oyelowo (who plays Matt Wellings in Five Days) whom I first saw on Spooks (or MI-5 as we know it in America, awesome show by the way.) I’ll decide if I’ll keep watching all five episode after I watch tonight’s episode.
Story: This taut crime thriller follows the mysterious disappearance of a beautiful young mother in the family-friendly suburbs of Hertfordshire, outside of London, and the inexplicable circumstances that leave her children abandoned far from home. Focusing on the day of the woman’s vanishing and four random days that follow, the story traces the ripple effects when a family’s life-altering trauma becomes not only a complex police investigation, but ripe fodder for tabloid headlines.

Bionic Woman

BIONIC WOMAN “Paradise Lost” – 9pm NBC
I had already seen last week’s episode at Comic Con, so I wasn’t that excited. Apart from the sister not being deaf anymore, the pilot was pretty much the same. This week is another story, not only is it a new episode but from the preview, it looks like Isaiah Washington will be making his first appearance tonight. I am really looking forward to seeing the new adventures of Jamie Sommers.

Private Practice

PRIVATE PRACTICE “In Which Sam Receives An Unexpected Visitor” – 9pm ABC
Last week’s episode was pretty fun so I am looking forward to tonight’s episode. It’s fun to see Addison and some new messed-up doctors.

Gossip Girl

GOSSIP GIRL “Poison Ivy” – 9pm the CW
Take 3 – Will this episode be good enough to keep me watching another week? It has good chances because the show is sort of relaxing compared to other more serious shows I watch. But let’s face it, if there is a choice to make, Gossip Girl might not make it.

Criminal Minds

CRIMINAL MINDS “In Birth and Death” – 9pm CBS
I watched last week’s episode to follow up on the Mandy Patinkin drama, but since it didn’t end last week, I decided to watch the second episode and get the full story. Plus I do enjoy Criminal Minds once in a while.

Life

LIFE “Tear Asunder” – 10pm NBC
We all know I love Life and I adore Damian Lewis. After last week’s pilot (read my review here) I am so excited to get a new episode tonight. This show is on my Top 5 list of new TV shows this season and I really think you should watch it too.

Dirty Sexy Money

DIRTY SEXY MONEY “The Lions” – 10pm ABC
The pilot surprised me last week in a good way (read my review of the pilot here) so I am tuning in for a second episode tonight. I think that this show is going to stay on my schedule for now, and I am happy because that means weekly doses of Donald Sutherland and Peter Krause.
