On Tonight, Wednesday 9/26: BIONIC WOMAN, LIFE, and more…

Tonight is the craziest night of TV, there is so much to watch I don’t even know where to start. I can already hear my two DVRs cry a little. Moving on to our choices for the night.

Daemon's Choice

America's Next Top Model

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL “The Models Go Green” – 8pm the CW
Yes!! The girls are moving into the house, let the drama begin! I used to hate reality shows, but for some reason America’s Next Top Model is strangely appealing to me. Maybe it’s because I keep telling myself that I am learning about modeling while I watch it so I am sort of learning something…yeah right, that’s just to make myself feel better for watching it and loving it so much.

Bionic Woman

BIONIC WOMAN “Pilot” – 9pm NBC
Bionic Woman has arrived! Series premieres tonight. Everybody, get ready to meet Jaime Sommers…again. Tonight is exciting for me, even though I saw the pilot at Comic Con (read my Bionic Woman Panel review here), because the version shown at Comic Con was not the final version of the pilot. They hadn’t reshot it with the new actress playing the sister (Lucy Hale). Plus I want to see the pilot again to refresh my memory. I loved the pilot and Bionic Woman is also on my Top 5 new TV shows this season. This is definitely a MUST WATCH tonight. You can also read my Bionic Woman preview here.
Story: Struggling as a bartender and surrogate mom to her teenage sister, Jaime Sommers didn’t think life could get much harder. But when a devastating car accident leaves her at death’s door, Jaime’s only hope for survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology that comes at a hefty price. With a whole new existence and a debt to re-pay, Jaime must figure out how to use her extraordinary abilities for good – while weighing the personal sacrifices she will have to make.

Private Practice

PRIVATE PRACTICE “In Which We Meet Addison, a Nice Girl from Somewhere Else” – 9pm ABC
Addison has officially moved away from Seattle Grace to Santa Monica. At this point I am just waiting to see the first episode. I had enjoyed the Grey’s Anatomy episode mixed with a preview of Private Practice but at this point it’s just a question of whether the second episode will be as good to keep me around.
Story: Addison Forbes Montgomery is a renowned surgeon. Having left behind Seattle Grace Hospital, a broken marriage with Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd, and her torn relationship with Mark “McSteamy” Sloan, Addison moves to Los Angeles for sunnier weather and happier possibilities. Addison reunites with her friends from medical school, Naomi and Sam Bennett, joining them at their chic, co-op, Oceanside Wellness Center in Santa Monica.

Gossip Girl

GOSSIP GIRL “The Wild Brunch” – 9pm the CW
Second round for Gossip Girl. Will tonight’s episode be as good as last week’s? I really hope so. I just realized I need a teenage drama this season, all the ones I use to watch are pretty much gone. I’m very positive about Gossip Girl and I think it will live up to my expectations.

Criminal Minds

I don’t usually watch Criminal Minds, although I really like the show, because the subject matter just gets to me, it’s too much to watch on a regular basis. I will tune in tonight though to see the aftermath of that whole Mandy Patinkin drama. I do think it’s a big loss for the show. He was one of the reasons I started watching the show. I am curious to see how his exit will turn out.

LIFE “Pilot” – 10pm NBC
Life is my other MUST WATCH of the night and is also on of my Top 5 new TV shows this season. I feel there hasn’t been enough praise about the show. After watching the pilot I was blown away by how good it was. I was even upset that I didn’t have the second episode to watch. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the phenomenal performance of Damian Lewis. Read my Life review here.
Story: A new drama about a detective who is given a second chance. Damian Lewis stars as complex, offbeat Detective Charlie Crews, who, thanks to close friend and attorney Constance Griffiths, returns to the force after serving time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Dirty Sexy Money

This is the show I am ambiguous about. From the previews, I’m thinking I’m not going to like it, but recently I’ve been reading positive things about it, so now I don’t know. To be honest, I wish I am wrong and that the show is awesome because it would mean I get to watch a show with Peter Krause and Donald Sutherland (one of my favorite actors) every week. It all comes down to tonight. I cannot offer any advice on whether to tune in because I myself do not know what to expect. Here is my philosophy though, if I’m not sure I’ll like a show, I will give it a shot to convince me. For sure I will be watching Dirty Sexy Money tonight and crossing my fingers that it blows me away.
Story: Some people say money is the root of all evil. They may be right. Nick George’s whole life has been lived in the shadow of the Darling family, but as an adult he’s leading the perfect life as an idealistic lawyer, until his father’s suspicious death. The absurdly wealthy Darlings of New York have asked him to take over his father’s job as their personal lawyer, but the money that will allow him the freedom to be an altruistic do-gooder is only part of the picture. That same money pulls him into the dubious doings of the Darling clan. Power, privilege and family money are a volatile cocktail.

CSI: NY “Can You Hear Me Now?” – 10pm CBS
CSI:NY is back tonight. Even though I used to watch CSI and CSI:Miami, I never got into CSI:NY. Not that they’re that much different, but I think this one was the overdose of CSI.

There are also new episodes of Back To You (8pm FOX), Kid Nation (8pm CBS), ‘Til Death (8:30pm FOX), and Kitchen Nightmares (9pm FOX) tonight, but since I don’t watch any of them and it’s not their season/series premiere, I won’t mention them again.
