THE CLOSER gets a fourth season August 2, 2007 News, The Closer THE CLOSER has been renewed for a fourth season which will air during Summer 2008. Even though I don’t follow the show religiously, it pulls me in when I do watch it. Kyra Sedgwick is, and I repeat it, brilliant. She plays Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson perfectly. I admire her so much. And we’ll get more of her next summer (it seems so far away).
