SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – Top 14 Review

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is getting better and better, it’s so hard to decide whom to put in the bottom three. I know for sure that tomorrow one of the couples I liked will be in the bottom three, mostly because I pretty much like everyone…

Quick thoughts on tonight’s performance:

  • My favorite: SARA VON GILLEM & PASHA PKOVALEV
  • My least favorite: DANNY TIDWELL & ANYA GARNIS
  • RECAP:

    LACEY SCHWIMMER & KAMERON BINKHustle

    Choreography: Maria Torres
Music: “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Inner Life get it on Inner Life - Inner Life - Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Thoughts: This is a power couple! I felt Kameron shined more than Lacey tonight (even if some of the judges disagreed). I personally couldn’t keep my eyes off Kameron. He’s great! Rating: 4/5

    SHAUNA NOLAND & CEDRIC GARDNERMambo

    Choreography: Alex DaSilva
Music: “Flauta y Timbal” by Tito Puente
Thoughts: This was much better than I expected it to be. Cedric did really good. Now that the judges like him too, that might be a bad sign for Cedric, lol. I hope they stick around. Rating: 3/5

    DANNY TIDWELL & ANYA GARNISContemporary

    Choreography: Tyce DiOrio
Music: “Apologize” by One Republic get it on Timbaland featuring One Republic - Shock Value - Apologize
Thoughts: Is it me or do those two not have any chemistry? I’m sorry I wasn’t really feeling it. For me it was lacking emotion. Last week, Shauna and Cedric touched me much more with their contemporary routine. I don’t know why the judges love those two so much. I think Nigel pointed it out when he talked about Danny missing the it-factor. Rating: 2/5

SARA VON GILLEM & PASHA PKOVALEVWest Coast Swing

    Choreography: Benji Schwimmer with Heidi
Music: “The Rockafeller Skank” by Fatboy Slim get it on Fatboy Slim - You've Come a Long Way, Baby - The Rockafeller Skank
Thoughts: WOW! My favorite NEW couple!!! This was AWESOME! Sara looked so pretty and Pasha is amazing! I LOVE THEM! Rating: 5/5

SABRA JOHNSON & DOMINIC SANDOVAL Hip Hop

    Choreography: Shane Sparks
Music: “Make It Work” by NeYo get it on Ne-Yo - Because of You - Make It Work
Thoughts: Every week I like them more and more! This Hip Hop routine was so sexy! One of the best of the night. Rating: 4/5

JAIMIE GOODWIN & HOK KONISHI Waltz

    Choreography: Toni Redpath
Music: “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan get it on Sarah McLachlan - Surfacing - Angel
Thoughts: Definitely not my favorite performance from Hok and Jaimie, but they both looked very pretty. I guess the waltz in itself is not the most entertaining dance anyway. Rating: 3/5

    LAUREN GOTTLEIB & NEIL HASKELLJazz

    Choreography: Wade Robson
Music: “Night Of The Dancing Flame” by Roisin Murphy get it on Roisin Murphy - Ruby Blue - Night of the Dancing Flame
Thoughts: WADE ROBSON just saved this couple! This is the first week I actually like these two. Neil was so good! For the first time I really saw what he can do. Lauren, I am still not a fan. I had a hard time believing her in the innocent angel part. Still, she did way better than previous weeks. Can I also say how this was the first time these two had some sort of connection. Rating: 4/5
