WIZARD OF OZ Sci-Fi style

Tin Man

Is it me or is TV getting better and better? Maybe it’s because we expect more, but some of the shows that we watch on TV are rising to a different level from the performances to the story and visuals. I even think that some of our favorite shows are even getting good enough quality wise that with only a few dollars more they could get Theatrical Releases (a.k.a. Battlestar Galactica).

The reason I mention this is because I stumbled upon this preview of TIN MAN, in this week’s TV Guide, a Sci-Fi Channel miniseries set to air in December. On the picture above you will recognize some of the actors set to act in this “remake” of Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”. From left: Glitch (Alan Cumming), DG (Zooey Deschanel), Cain (Neal McDonough), Raw (Raoul Trujillo), Azkadellia (Kathleen Robertson), and not pictured, the Mystic Man (Richard Dreyfuss).

As you can see, this miniseries will not be a traditional remake of “The Wonderful Wizard Of OZ”, I think it is safe to assume that we are in for a big, fun, crazy ride.
