THE 4400, PSYCH, MONK, THE DEAD ZONE, and more new shows on USA

With summer starting, USA Network brings out all of its shows on TV for what promises to be a great Summer 2007. Even though USA is not as big as other networks, it does bring us some quality shows, plus it actually gives us something to watch and be excited about during the summer while we wait for our other favorite shows to come back. If you are desperate to find some shows to watch this summer, then look no further, here are some of the great shows USA will be offering you during the summer:

THE STARTER WIFE started 6/31, next episode 6/7 Thursday 9pm
After watching the first episode of The Starter Wife, I have to say the first episode felt more like a TV movie rather than a TV show. They could have almost ended it there. However I am glad that The Starter Wife is a TV show, because I enjoyed the first episode and am looking forward to seeing more of Debra Messing and her funny self. If you are into sweet funny shows, The Starter Wife is for you!

    THE 4400 6/17 Sunday 9pm
After month of waiting, The 4400 is back! For a show that started out as a mini-series, The 4400 has done well for itself. It became a very compelling show and I am always happy when it comes back on TV. In the vein of Lost and Heroes, with a large cast of people with different abilities, I would highly recommend The 4400. And for the fans of The 4400, set your DVRs because The 4400 are back and better than ever (well I’m not sure about that last part but doesn’t it sound good?!)

THE DEAD ZONE 6/17 Sunday 10pm
To be honest, I never really watched The Dead Zone, not because I don’t like it, but because I just never started in the first place. That said I am considering renting the first five seasons I missed because the promo for the sixth season looks really good. Don’t forget to set your DVRs for The Dead Zone season premiere on June 17th at 10pm.

    BURN NOTICE 6/26 Tuesday 10pm
Burn Notice is a new show on USA, and since I pretty much watch every show on USA because they are quality shows, I will be tuning in to watch the series premiere of Burn Notice on June 26th. I previously talked about Burn Notice in my TV Summer Preview – June 2007 post, here is a recap: “When spies get fired, they don’t get a letter from human resources…” Michael Westen gets a “Burn Notice” while on assignment and decides to return to his hometown, Miami, to find out the reason of his termination.

    MONK 7/13 Friday 9pm
Good old Monk is back in all his weirdness! You have to love Monk, it is one of the most original shows on television. But you know, if you think about it, Mr. Monk is not really a nice person, everything he does is about him. He is pretty selfish actually, but because he is so smart, people indulge him. That said it doesn’t stop me from loving Monk. I think it’s what makes the show so good!

PSYCH 7/13 Friday 10pm
Psych is one of the funniest shows on TV. The show is about a team of private investigators pretending to be psychics. But seriously, it’s an awesome show. I am so excited it’ll be back soon. If you haven’t watched the show yet, I even think you could start watching season two without being too confused if you haven’t seen season one. I would definitely recommend watching season one either way.
