THE OFFICE’s Finale – Thoughts and Recap

Ryan - B.J. Novak

OMG, what can I say about The Office‘s finale other than it was amazing as always.

I have to start at the end. In case you haven’t seen the episode: Spoilers.

Jim and Pam – What an amazing TV moment that was, as Pam is talking to the camera and saying how Jim and her will always be friends no matter what, and just at that moment Jim comes in to invite her to dinner – “…it’s a date” (finally!). How amazing was Pam’s response, I could feel myself tearing up for her. What an amazing actress Jenna Fischer is, she conveyed so much emotion with just a look, and of course her final line: “I’m sorry, what was the question?”. This scene is definitely going to make me wish it was September already. I have to say though, the final moments between Jim and Pam were not as extreme as season two’s finale, with the kiss (that one made me scream, literally, I know I’m sad, but I can’t help it, I get so excited :d ).
Ryan – The intern is moving up in the world! How evil was that look he gave the camera at the end after breaking up with Kelly. I LOVE IT! BTW did not see that one coming. Ryan got the job, what twist. But, does that mean that we won’t be seeing as much of him anymore, ’cause I’m not ok with that.
Dwight – The crying was, wait for it…LEGENDARY! Poor, Dwight, I actually feel bad for him, getting the Regional Manager job was probably the best day of his life and it was ripped up from under him. Life is so unfair.
Creepy Creed – Creed is just one of those characters I didn’t really care about at first, and then they brought the “creepy” factor in, and now there are no words to describe Creed. The whole blog thing was hilarious and having Ryan saying that “I’ve read some of it. Even for the internet, it’s pretty shocking.” Thankfully, Ryan was smart enough to create a fake blog for Creed to, as he so nicely puts it, “protect the world from being exposed to Creed’s brain.”
