‘Intruders’ Series Premiere Date Announced by BBC America; First Offical Trailer Released

The Intruders are here…or at least they will be on August 23rd at 10PM ET/PT on BBC America.

The network announced the premiere date of their new supernatural drama over the weekend and debuted a full-length trailer revealing the titular Intruders are taking over the bodies of the dead. At least that is what appears to be happening in the trailer for the John Simm (Life on Mars) and Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite) led series.

Based on a novel by Michael Marshall Smith and brought to the screen by The X-Files‘ Glen Morgan, Intruders‘ official logline reads “BBC America’s new original series is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.” Are you intrigued by the premise or have you had enough of the talking walking dead with The Returned and Resurrection this season?

About The Author

Sabienna is a freelance writer, pop culture junkie and unabashed fangirl. She blames an early exposure to The X-Files and the Must See TV era of NBC for her twin life-long loves of sci-fi and sitcoms. She's not sure where her all-consuming love for all things British came from, but it led her to Doctor Who so she doesn't complain.

Yeah, I think I’ve reached my saturation point with this genre. At least, that’s how I feel after watching that promo.

saturation is the result of cliche and poor work. great work gives energy.
