TBS has picked up a third season of King of the Nerds. The eight episode order is scheduled to hit the air in early 2015. The news of the reality show’s renewal was confirmed by Michael Wright, the president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and TCM.
“King of the Nerds demonstrates the power of nerd culture by drawing not only a fervent fan base but also the youngest audience of any current TBS original,” said Wright. “We look forward to building on that success as more viewers discover this terrific competition series.”
King of the Nerds’s executive producers Ben Silverman and Chris Grant were equally excited about the show’s third season pick-up. “We are thrilled to be growing our business with the amazing team at TBS and cannot be happier to be celebrating the hottest culture in the world,” Silverman, the Electus founder and chairman, shared. “Nerds rule!”
TBS has also announced the 10 episode pick-up if their hidden-camera game show ‘Deal With It’ that is set to debut this fall.
