Witches are real and they will eat your face in the full-length trailer for WGN’s first original series, Salem, premiering this Sunday, April 20th at 10pm/9c. The series comes off as a giant, gruesome horror movie complete with body contortions, writhing mud orgies, dolls twisting their own heads around and many, many more things designed to traumatize viewers. Oh, and did I mention Seth Gabel’s horrible beard? Because it is horrible.
All of that being said, Salem has certainly caught my attention. I plan on watching with the lights on, how about you?
“Don’t make me rip your throat out.”
Piper is channeling her inner wolf, and oh is it glorious. The quick, uncompromising trailer for Orange is the New Black season two has me begging for summer. We have new characters, one who Red is scared of, a tiny glimpse of Alex and a whole lot of crazy. All 13 new episodes will premiere June 6th on Netflix. If I had a TARDIS, June 6th would be my first stop.
The residents of Defiance might want to reconsider relocating. It appears the town has descended into a state of anarchy in season two, even though Amanda insists the town will always be home. That might be true, but home now has bombs to be diffused, sketchy alliances being formed and Irisa worrying that there is something dangerous (and kind of tentacle-ly) inside of her. If it is all the same to the Defiance tourism board, I won’t be vacationing in their town anytime soon.
Defiance season two premieres June 19th at 8/7c on Syfy.
Calling Jack Bauer a terrorist is a terrible idea. His patriotism is his only personality trait, as we see in Fox’s movie style trailer for the special 24: Live Another Day. Jack’s loyalty to his country is called into question and he has no time for that nonsense. What follows is all of the action, impossible escapes and Jack/Chloe reunions you never knew your life was missing.
24: Live Another Day premieres May 5th on Fox.
John Simm is amazing in everything he does, but his new ITV thriller, Prey looks especially awesome. Maybe it’s the British The Fugitive vibe or just Simm’s intensity as a wronged man on the run, but Prey looks like captivating television. I’m jealous of all of you who live across the pond and will get to see this series in a timely manner. Let us all pray to the TV gods that it gets an American distribution deal as soon as possible.
Prey premieres Monday April 28th at 9pm on ITV.
