After seven years on the air, Lifetime will celebrate its longest-running series Army Wives with a two-hour special called ‘Army Wives: A Final Salute’ that will provide a retrospective look back at the program that followed the struggles, dreams and friendship of a diverse group of women living with their spouses and families on an active Army post.
Over the show’s run the series has included among its cast Catherine Bell, Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Wendy Davis, Brigid Brannagh, Kelli Williams, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Jeremy Davidson, Brooke Shields, Ashanti, Torrey DeVitto, Elle McLemore, Jesse McCartney, Terry Serpico, Drew Fuller, Alyssa Diaz, J.J. Soria, Joshua Henry and Burgess Jenkins, among others.
‘Army Wives: A Final Salute’ will feature interviews with original cast members Delaney, Pressman, Brannagh, Davis, Brown, McNamara, Serpico, Fuller and Davidson who reunite to offer exclusive insight into the show and their characters. Also on tap will be executive producer Jeff Melvoin and author Tanya Biank, whose book for which the drama is based. The special will also feature commentary from real-life military wives.
The special will air on Lifetime on Sunday, March 16 at 9/8c.
