Last March, actress Rose McGowan appeared in the Once Upon a Time episode entitled “The Miller’s Daughter” as Cora, the younger version of The Evil Queen’s mother, otherwise known as the Queen of Hearts normally played by Barbara Hershey. This episode was an origins story about Cora that also included her death somewhat at the hands of Snow White (series regular Ginnifer Goodwin).
TV viewers know McGowan best for role of Paige Matthews in the long-running supernatural series ‘Charmed’ for which she joined in season four in 2001 and remained as a series regular for the rest of the show’s run through 2006; but she has also appeared in the box office films ‘Scream’, ‘Jawbreaker’, ‘The Black Dahlia’, ‘Grindhouse/Death Proof’ and ‘Conan the Barbarian’. She has also appeared in episodes of ‘Nip/Tuck’ and the made-for-TV movie ‘The Pastor’s Wife’.
Details on how young Cora will reappear in the world of ‘Once Upon a Time’ now that [Spoiler Alert if you aren't caught up with the show] Storybrooke no longer exists and all of the inhabitants are returning to the Enchanted Forest, but McGowan is expected to appear in the 18th episode.
‘Once Upon a Time’ will be for the rest of its third season on ABC starting on Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c.
