The long-running (14 seasons to be exact) soap opera Dallas originally ran from 1978 to 1991, making its triumphant return to the small screen last summer with returning favorites like the late Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy reprising their roles as well as seeing a whole new generation of the Ewing clan take over, including Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo
The second season of the revitalized soap aired earlier this year and now words comes from TV Guide that ‘Dallas’ will be back on TNT for its third season starting on Monday, February 24 at 9/8c.
According to showrunner Cynthia Cidre, “We will have two season openers and two cliffhangers. We have tried this season to make the show more about Ewing family conflicts — secrets, lies and betrayals. And I think we have succeeded”.
The third season of the series will have an eight episode run early in 2014 before going on hiatus, returning next summer with seven more episodes.
Executive producer Michael Robin had this to share about what fans can expect, “This is a very sexy season with a roll in the hay and several hook-ups in a hotel. And we have lots of big events: Ewing barbecues and the biggest Southfork wedding yet”!
Mark your calendars for February 24 at 9/8c for the return of ‘Dallas’ on TNT.
