Friday Night TV: The Return of Grimm, The Carrie Diaries and The Premiere of Dracula October 25, 2013 Dracula, Grimm, Reviews, The Carrie Diaries Friday nights used to be pretty bare when it came to shows, but lately networks have been filling them with some worth watching shows and even some must-see ones. Tonight marks the return of two that I am excited for and a new one that has potential. Grimm Speaking of must-see TV, Grimm returns for its third season tonight at 9pm on NBC. I totally fell in love with the show last season and it left us on quite the cliffhanger. And this season picks up literally the second after the events of last season and it’s oh so good!! I’ve seen the first two episodes and trust me after tonight’s premiere you’ll wish it was next Friday already. In truly Grimm fashion, we get some sort of resolution but it of course leads to even more potential issues and mysteries. Grimm has become one of my favorite shows and this season started our reminding me why I love it so much. Hold on tight because it looks it’s going to be a fun ride this season! Also if you want a refresher of what happened last season, you should read PT Jackson’s article here. Dracula Staying in the supernatural vein, NBC premieres its new series Dracula tonight as well at 10pm. Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as Dracula in the retelling of the story. While the series is not exactly what I expected it to be, it definitely pleased my supernatural taste buds. The show has an interesting twist on the original story and I’m quite curious to see evolve. While I wouldn’t call it must-see TV, I definitely encourage you to check it out if you are a supernatural fan like me and have an interest in Dracula, you might be surprised. The Carrie Diaries If supernatural series is not your thing, then may I direct you to The Carrie Diaries? This is the season of Samantha in the second season of The Carrie Diaries, which is a prequel to Sex and the City following Carrie as a young girl. While I have never really watched Sex and the City, I fell in love with the show last season. Tonight’s second season premiere starts a new chapter for Carrie, especially since she makes a new friend, Samantha, whom fans of Sex and the City are of course really familiar with. This season of The Carrie Diaries starts out as sweet as we expected it to and I can’t wait to find out what other kinds of troubles Carrie and Samantha get into this season. The Carrie Diaries returns tonight at 8pm on The CW.
