‘Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove’ Season 2 Announced by Hallmark Channel

Hallmark’s first original series Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove has proven to be a smash hit for the network, so it comes as no surprise that the series has been renewed for a second season. Since its launch in July, Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove has made Hallmark Channel the most watched cable station in the Saturdays 8-9PM slot.

“We are incredibly pleased with the tremendous success of ‘Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,’ our first-ever primetime series,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel in a statement. “We are so thrilled to work with Debbie Macomber and have the opportunity to bring to life her beloved book series, which was the perfect fit for Hallmark Channel. The show’s significant impact and the fact that audiences have responded positively to the show has warranted a second season renewal. We launched a new era at Hallmark Channel with ‘Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove’ and we look forward to the show’s continued growth and success.”

Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove stars Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven, all of whom will return for season two. The second season is set to air in 2014.
