American Horror Story’s executive producer Ryan Murphy has added another familiar face to the thriller’s upcoming third season Coven. Actor Denis O’Hare will return to the series after appearing in season one. Murphy broke the news on his Twitter page on July 27. “Very pleased to announce that the Emmy nominated Denis O’Hare is joining AHS: Coven.”
O’Hare’s role in the third season, which will revolve around witches, is currently being kept under wraps. ‘The Normal Heart’ actor joins the previously cast Jessica Lange (Big Fish), Sarah Paulson (Serenity), Evan Peters (Kick-Ass), Francis Conroy (Six Feet Under), Kathy Bates (Misery), Lily Rabe (All Good Things) and veteran actress Patti LuPone (Driving Miss Daisy). ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ has yet to receive an official premiere date, but is said to be returning to FX this fall.
O’Hare is best known over his lengthy career for appearance in ‘Milk’, ’21 Grams’, ‘The Proposal’, ‘Michael Clayton’ and more. More recently he has been busy with attachment’s to the ‘Dallas Buyer’s Club’ with Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, as well as ‘Site 146′ and ‘The Town That Dreaded Sundown’. Aside from several big screen features, O’Hare was seen in ‘The Good Wife’ in the recurring role as Judge Charles Abernathy.
