The CW Announces Revised Fall 2013 Premiere Slate

The CW has made a few changes to their previously announced Fall 2013 schedule, the network announced today. Now The Originals will premiere on a special date and time, Thursday, October 3, 9PM ET, following the season five premiere of The Vampire Diaries. This should give The Vampire Diaries‘ spin-off an extra ratings boost premiering after its successful sister series. The Originals will move to its regular timeslot the following week, Tuesday, October 8, 8PM ET, followed by the ninth season premiere of Supernatural at 9PM ET, now airing a week earlier than previously announced.

Meanwhile, The CW’s biggest gamble of the season, the period drama Reign, is being pushed back a week. The series will now premiere Thursday, October 17th at 9PM ET. See below for The CW’s full revised schedule (all times are ET):
